Marketing a Casino

A casino is a gambling pavilion offering patrons a safe environment in which to eat, watch live shows (or closed-circuit broadcasts), gamble and generally have a good time. While casinos often get a bad rap for being seedy backroom gambling parlors, they are generally large, professional enterprises that spend a lot of money to ensure their patrons’ safety.

From a marketing standpoint, casinos need to think about the different elements that make them unique and how they can best reach their target audience. For instance, many casinos host concerts and other events that draw in a new crowd that might not otherwise come to the facility. Partnering with e-sports teams and platforms is another way to attract new guests. The use of virtual reality and augmented reality is also an exciting way to bring more life to a gaming experience.

Casino is probably Martin Scorsese’s most violent movie, and it doesn’t stop short of depicting a mobster’s life in all its sleazy glory. But it’s not just the violence that makes the movie compelling – there are many other themes at play, including the way in which casinos are built off of false bedrock, how scumbags are pitted against each other for no apparent reason and the nature of human greed. Robert de Niro gives one of his best performances as a ruthless mobster, and Sharon Stone is as captivating as ever in her role as the blonde hustler Ginger McKenna. Joe Pesci’s portrayal of the vicious Santoro is another standout.
